My Family & Friends
A heartfelt thank you to my friends and family for your unwavering support and encouragement throughout this journey. Your belief in me means the world, you all know who you are.

A very special thanks to my incredible wife, who not only encouraged me to dive into the literary world when I had too much spare time on my hands. but also gave me the space to do so without a single eye-roll or sigh. Your support has been my foundation, and for that, I am and will be forever grateful.

And thank you to our children, for reminding me of what is important in life and to be forever curious. I love you!

The Writers' Inlet
by
Angela Rydell
Angela and her novel salon saw me through my first unpublished (deservedly so, on my account,) novel and accompanied me through the creation of Eve's Rib. Through the growing pains and first flexing my literary muscles, we explored everything from initial plotting and character development to creating the most satisfying character arcs and story resolution, Angela covered it all. I will always hold those Saturday afternoons spent in sympatico with other aspiring authors close in my heart.

The Butchering Art
by
Lindsey Fitzharris
Lindsey Fitzharris PhD, is a phenomenal medical historian and author. Throughout my time writing the manuscript for Eve, I constantly referenced her 2017 book, The Butchering Art, not only to fact-check but for general inspiration. First Fitzharris chronicles the evolution of Victorian-era medical practices in exquisitely grizzly detail. Then she expertly sets the stage to tell the quiet, but persistently curious life of Joseph Lister who revolutionized surgical practices with the use of antiseptic techniques in the latter half of the 19th century.

Helping Writers Become Authors
by
K.M. Weiland
K.M. Weiland is an award-winning author of typically hisotorical fantasy novels in several different subgenres. But K.M. takes her passion for writing to another level and has created a brilliant writing blog and writing guides that have been critical references over the years I wrote Eve. I would typically read her blog posts and reference one of her guides as I created a first draft of a chapter I would then refine with Angela. An invaluable resource for evolving writers.
